Reviewed by Tracy G on 06-01-2005 Let me start by saying I have always had good luck with Panasonic systems, however that came to a screaching halt when I purchased two KX-TG4000B units (including cordless'). Within the first 30 days, both handsets on the bases kept coming detached from the cord. I was on vacation so my
able bodied (and pea brained) assistant fixed them with duct tape. We tried new cords, but the problem was within the handset itself. Both phone base hand sets are completely nonfunctional 5 months later. We have been using the cordless units and passing them around (its a small office) except that one of them now sounds like we are under water. We have contacted Panasonic multiple times, and their answer is to send the phones in and they will replace them within 2 weeks.
Unfortunately, we are a small business and these 2 phones are the only ones we have to handle our 4 incoming phone lines. They won't budge on
their position. Thank goodness for Costco. They couldn't fix it, but
they said we could buy new ones on their website, get them delivered
pronto, and then return the bad ones to the store for a full refund (including shipping). Panasonic should aspire to their level of customer service!!! Rating:
