Asko W6021
This tumble-action washer is the new version of the W600, which was a 2001 Consumers Digest Best Buy. The W6021 has the conventional controls and the award-winning unconventional features of its predecessor: superior washing and rinsing, stainless steel inner and outer tanks, internal water heater (from 85º to 205º F), Quattro no-walk suspension, and top-loader-like capacity. It also has some new and improved qualities. Its top spin speed is now 1,200 rpm instead of 1,000, which means even shorter drying times. And you can still choose a slower 800 rpm speed or no spin to protect delicate clothes.
The W6021 also has a new program, Quick Wash, that completes a load in 45 minutes while using three rinses to get clothes clean - most washers have only one rinse. The Quick Wash program also has a long spin cycle to shorten drying times by removing more moisture. Another program change split the Wool/Hand Wash program into separate Wool and Hand Wash programs, so that delicate fabrics get exactly the right cleaning.
This washer, when paired with an ASKO dryer, can save you about $300 a year on electricity, water, bleach, and detergent.
Features of the Asko W6021 include:
- Conventional mechanical and push button operation
- Temperature knob allows easy, quick adjustments from cold all the way up to 205° F
- 800 and 1200 rpm spin speeds
- Program knob gives quick access to 11 different programs
- Available in white
