I own a Danby DAR1102W Frost Free Refrigerator. I've had this Refrigerator for just over 1 Year and the defrost timer went. I was without a refrigerator for 9 days while the service company (the only one authorized to do warranty work on Danby Refrigerators) had to order the part from back east, in Ontario. I live in BC. I did get special extended warranty from Danby for this repair, as I guess that they felt sorry for me as the unit was just over 1 year old. Now that the part was installed the refrigerator is beginning to humm and make weird noises again. I can hardly wait until it breaks down again... and my food to go bad again....
Do yourself a favour and do not buy this product.
I will NEVER, NEVER buy this brand again.. save yourself the nightmare and buy a reliable known brand.
