Reviewed by JE on 09-25-2008 Bought this unit for my wife to use at work in her classroom, mostly for reheating her lunch and popcorn type snacks. While about $50.00 more expensive than the cheapest units on the market, it is a much better machine and is large enough at 1.1 cu ft. to handle even a casserole dish. With 1100 watts output, it has the power of built in units costing far more. It also offers similar features to the larger units, especially the automatic cooking sensors, timers and power controls. It offers equivalent features to my over the range JVM1870 model we have at home, including a similar easy to use user interface, which has the advantage of my wife not having to re-learn how to control it for the most part. There are some differences with esoteric functions do to duo-use of a keypad key rather than a separate key. But she will rarely use these features at work. Cooks fast and evenly. However, drawing 13 amps of power, one has to make sure the circuit used can handle it. Rating:
