Returned this model to Target & exchanged it for the MrCoffee Model FTX29.See the review for FTX25.I agree with that review except my wife & I love the red retro look. The "analog" clock also makes a great(if slightly spooky) nightlite.At least Mr Coffee redeemed themselves for VBX23.Target should drop this model.Most bad reviews complained about it's messy carafe.I guess it dribbled(FTX29 has a plastic spout & works great... also the lid hinge is just right).But what drove me nuts was the uncontrollable ultra-fast brew pump that constantly overflowed the grounds(THEIR FILTER!).This designer dumped the old reliable showerhead design which effectively slows the brew rate & pre-vents overflow.Unless you made "wuss" coffee it required manually turning the coffeemaker off & on.I could have dumped hot water through my old busted MRCoffee & saved $$$$!The FTX29 was $20 more but worth it.
