Reviewed by Carol Snopek on 03-16-2006 I have no problem with the carafe dipping or threading. There is only one way to put the cover on - it has a flat edge that goes into the pot only one way, then it's easy to rotate in place. It pours beautifully for a thermal carafe. I've been using many different thermal carafes for years and this one pours the best! Just twist open partially and no mess! Much better than the non-insulated glass carafes. It's not a true thermal carafe becaue it doesn't close completely. I don't like the carafe lid because it never seals which causes heat loss. The opening where the coffee drips in the carafe is always open. I'm going to contact the manufacturer and ask them if they have a different cover that seals. Rating:
Reviewed by Kim on 02-14-2005 I agree with the first comments. The coffee is not hot and the caraf doesn't even keep what heat it does produce in!!! Very disappointed and won't buy another. I think Mr. Coffee should compensate!! Rating:
Reviewed by steve bauer on 11-20-2004 We bought this coffee maker because of the thermal stainless carafe and was very disappointed. The lid is a nightmare to get the threads started, the pot drips and makes a mess while pouring, and the coffee is not hot enough. We thought we had a faulty machine and contacted Mr. Coffee. They sent us a new machine with all the same problems. Rating:
