I've raised my rating. Lee at 1-800-MR COFFEE (1-800-672-6333) advised to clean with 4 cups of vinegar, stop and unplug the coffeemaker for 30 minutes. Press the ON button until the last cup goes through. Then repeat one more time with the same vinegar. --- Works fine now. The main problem now is that it has too many nooks and crannys that make cleaning difficult. If this keeps working for a couple of more years, I'll raise my rating.

We have the same problem, it stops heating the water while there is still water in the chamber. Our last Mr. Coffee lasted over 15 years, this one, only 8 months. this seems to be a common problem, based on the reviews I've read.I'll be looking at a different company now.

It worked well and then started stopping early in the cycle! We have to turn it back on 7-8 times everytime we make a pot of coffee. Looking for a new coffeemaker!
