These are great sounding speakers for listening or home theatre....and you don't need to buy a subwoofer. The sound on the highs is clear and the bass is just like it should sound, real. I had great speakers such as Paradign's and Polk Audio's but I always had to get subs to get the full sound of my music or movie. These speakers produce that good sound you would hear at concerts and if you want loud, wow, you will get loud with good sound as a good speaker should sound.So far these have been the best speakers and they look great also. Great buy
