Reviewed by Kevin M on 09-30-2004My home theater is in the works right now. I have a Yamaha 6.1 receiver and 2 sets of ASB1's for fronts and rears. Even with just 4 speakers, Movies and Music are very pleasing. Adding the extra speakers offered by Athena are not too far in the future. My most memorable moments are with music. I set the Yamaha to Pro Logic 2 in music mode. This is excellent for music. It keeps the stereo imaging to the fronts like the dominant voices and instruments. The rears fill out everything else. A very amusing listening experience especially with the matching Athena fronts and rears I currently have. Trust me - These speakers rock! 5 out 5 !!! I own a high level of Athena speakers costing upwards of $2000 and I am even more satisfied with these! The stereo imaging and tonal balance between the B2's and the C1 created an all enveloping realm of sound. Although extremely low levels of bass are slightly lacking in larger rooms, either of the sub's offered will fill the hole. In rooms less than 400 sq. ft, however, they are more than adequate.
