I agree with the previous poster. I bought mine about 2 and a half years ago and the noise has been there for about 2 of those years. About 3 months ago the picture started fading and flickering so I replace the lamp. That didn't fix either issue. I took the TV apart and cleaned the color wheel. That seem to help the flickering, but not the loud humming noise. This TV is garbage.

Since 2 was acceptable, I have to give this a 1 - (poor) rating. Because, it is simply not "acceptable". I bought this Television 6 months ago, was VERY happy with it during that time, but 2 weeks ago, the TV started making this very loud buzzing noise. Have been waiting almost 2 weeks for Sharp to get someone to come out to my house to replace an Optical Assembly. For now, the TV is almost un-watchable. The noise gives us headaches. I am looking to get this TV replaced. And I am not the only one to have this issue with this TV, have heard from at least 3 others about the same issue at almost exactly 6 months of use. Before this buzzing noise happened, I would have rated this TV a 5, but if this is going to be an issue every 6 months (and it appears that it will be based off of what I have heard), then I am forced to give it a 1. I am not satisfied with Sharp's customer support so far either. Waiting 2 weeks for this part is simply not acceptable.
