Panasonic PT-50LC13
Product Rating
The Panasonic LCD widescreen HDTV monitor makes a huge impression without taking up your entire living room. This lightweight projection TV has an LCD screen which creates incredibly vivid images that can be seen in even the brightest rooms. The wide contrast range causes colors to pop out, creating deep, dynamic images. Movies look terrific in their natural widescreen state, and the amazing images of high-definition can be experienced simply by adding an HD receiver.

This one is a bad one!!!! Rating:
Reviewed by DR on 06-30-2005 Owned PT-50LC13 for about 15 months and the TV stopped working! The power
'red' light blinks and the lamp 'red' light blinks - this is described as 'Lamp malfunction' in the manual and the troublshooting tip is to 'replace' the lamp (TY-LA1000)... cost $300 + tax + S&H. The life suggested for the lamp is 10,000 hours... I have not used the TV for
nearly half as much as the recommended life. There are numerous complaints about this all over! Beware of buying this product!! Very unreliable!!!

Reviewed by Quoc on 05-25-2005 Don't buy. My lamp blew after 11 months. Panasonic should do a recall. Rating:
Reviewed by Brian on 04-02-2005 I bought this TV about 15 months ago. The lamp blew out and out of warranty. I called Panasonic support to order the lamp and the wait time was about 15 minutes. I paid $299 for the lamp + $12.95 shipping and handling. That's really a lot! I believed that I only watched about 2000 hours. Also, if you lower the volume during late evening, you will hear the fan sound. One good thing for this LCD projection is I can use the TV as a monitor, the quality is very good. I have a Sony projection TV for over 7 years and still running good. Rating:
Reviewed by Asifia on 09-05-2004 Lamp burns out in three months. Replacement covered by Panasonic for 1yr. After that expect to spend $400 3 to 4 times a year. My TV's lamp blew in three months. Sony guy came over and popped one in ten seconds. Then the new lamp fused after 7 days, now the TV is in the shop since three weeks. DO NOT BUY. TOTALLY UNRELIABLE, $3000 PIECE OF JUNK. Rating:
