21 Oct 2005 Have had this DVD Player since October of 2004. Decided to buy one for air travel and to watch english language DVDs. Have two extra batteries. Have so far taken this thing with me to London, Vegas, Rome, Venice, Warsaw, Barcelona, Honolulu, LA, and Bangkok. Love it. I usually ride economy. 5 inch screen is more than enough on the plane (just me) and is good enough to be watched and heard from up to four feet away. Apparently, this Mintek model model has a small problem with the screen (really only a small nuisance). Diagonal lines appear on the screen, and you have to give it a little nudge to get it back into focus. Mintek website says the power adapter is 110/240, but power adapter says only 120 50/60 Hz (no big deal since I always have a voltage converter). This unit plays all of my copied DVDs RW +/- or R +/- better than my home DVD players (hmmm, maybe cheaper is better).
