Featuring technology for superior picture quality, the PHD50500 includes a 3D Y/C Digital Comb Filter, which evaluates both current and future video information to eliminate dot and edge crawl while providing for better transition between scene changes, resulting in a dramatically enhanced picture. The result is a 'plasma pop' that knocks the socks off of the other HD monitors I've owned. NEC manufactures this plasma unit for Thompson/RCA. The quality, fit and finish are outstanding. The On-Screen Menu System provides for easy adjustment of most pictures, sound and convenience features using the remote control or TV front-panel buttons. Even non-HD content like analog cable content look great, and watching progressive DVDs are truly a joy beyond compare.
