It starts with a progressive scan driving method that provides bright, clear, stable images with no line flicker. We've made major improvements in brightness and contrast performance with the 42MP3. Realistic color reproduction via NEC's exclusive Capsulated Color Filter™ technology is now enhanced by AccuCrimson, a filtration technology that produces the purest shade of red yet possible in a plasma display. The 42MP3's brightness, contrast and color is further complimented by NEC's Advanced AccuBlend scan conversion and sophisticated video signal processing including motion-compensated 3D scan conversion and a 3/2 pull down converter ensures the best possible image quality from any source. Simply put, the 42MP3 makes it even easier for you to give your audience the best presentation they've ever seen. Compatibility. The 42MP3 can connect to and display signals from virtually any input source. A comprehensive input panel includes connection for up to 8 different sources including three assignable audio inputs and a 29-pin DVI input for total flexibility of connections and system configuration. Digital Zoom. With the 42MP3's digital zoom you can select a portion of the screen image and enlarge it up to 9 times in smooth steps to highlight information or emphasize a point. Comprehensive Control Options. A wired/wireless handheld remote control and convenient front bezel controls provide access to all monitor functions via an intuitive on-screen menu system. Plus, complete RS232 external control is available for each monitor function. Stereo Audio. The 42MP3 includes an internal 7-Watt stereo audio amplifier, external speaker jacks and comes with optional external speakers that can attach to the sides of the monitor to provide a seamlessly integrated audio solution. AccuShield Phosphor Protection System. NEC's AccuShield Phosphor Protection System provides the most comprehensive set of countermeasures to minimize the effects of phosphor burn. The AccuShield System can help prevent phosphor burn and minimizes its perceptible effects if it does occur. In addition to Inverse RGB, Pixel Orbiter and Brightness Limiter modes, a rogrammable Pixel Refreshment mode has been added. This mode deploys a horizontally scrolling white bar that activates pixels without obscuring image content to help alleviate the possibility of phosphor burn.
