Reviewed by Carlos on 09-13-2006 I had a Maxent MX-42X3 for about a year, I was very pleased with that TV, so I decided to upgrade to a 50" Maxent, so I got the new MX-5020HPM at Costco, so far the TV is OK, I like the black levels, the picture, brightness etc., the only problem is that the color setting is not consistent. I first conected th TV using component cables and the picture quality was not that great, then I switched to HDMI cable and the image is much better but not even close to that of the MX-42X3. Some TV channels look great, but others look poor in picture quality. Then I called directly to Regent U.S.A. (Maxent makers) and talked to a CSR person, who by the way was rude and did not help at all, he just told me to return the set and get another brand (I could not believe what he said). I'll keep the MX-50HPM for a few weeks, if I can't fix the settings I'll get a different brand, even though the Maxent is a great value. Rating:
