Reviewed by Annonymous ^o^ (but seriously, read this review, it\'s GOOD!) on 10-14-2005 Overall, I'm happy with the NWE-407. The sound quality is good (actually,
it really depends on the mp3/wma file you download...or at least that's
what I believe to be true ^_^). This is a 1GB model, so it can store A
LOT of music in it. In my player, I have ~400 songs and there's still
~150 mb of room left (provided that my music files are wma and are usually <2 mb:P) When I first purchased this player, I was afraid it wouldn't be
able to read Chinese characters:P. So for all those people who are
interested in a player that can read Chinese:P, this is the one!
But one thing I'm not overly thrilled about is the fact that Sony did not
include a plastic carrying pouch with the package. It's really annoying
sometimes when your player gets all these scratches everywhere (especially when you've only purchased it for 2 months or so...). And there's no neck
strap, which is also a bad thing. For people like me who would prefer
hands-free players, this is not such a good idea. But then again, you
could always use those cell phone necklaces (something I'm using now:P).
Personally, I would rate this player 8/10, due to its efficient capabilities that fulfills most of my needs for a decent MP3 player. As
I've listed above, there are pros and cons to this player. However, I
bought it for a pretty cheap price company name I bought it from) so what the heck, I'm happy with it.
Besides, it was new...or at least 2 months ago:P. So people who are
reading this review, this is certainly a GOOD player!
However, if you want something newer...go for the NWE-307, it's good
too...especially with its bean-like shape. Plus, it's not as easy to
scratch the screen, so there's something to keep in mind;) Well viewer, happy hunting and I hope this review helped you out with your dilemma (believe me, I know when people search like crazy over the Internet to find the right player for them...I had to look out for ~1 year before I realized this was the one for me:P) Finally, thanks for hearing me rant about my opinions about the NWE-407 and I wish you best of luck in finding your ideal player ^_^ Rating:
