This is not to bad of a tv. If you have this tv and it has gone blue screen with a loud buzing noise, dont waste your time calling Polaroid, they give you this garbage about a part you need, and this & that. Dont but it, it will not help! It is a very easy fix. I have do it and it works great! email me to find out how i did it. garybneth@yahoo.com You dont have to a repair man or lady to do it, you just need a 6-7 dollar part and someone who can solder.

I have owned this tv for 2 and 1/2 years and about 3 months ago it would not come on instantly and was showing a blue screen and making a shrill high-pitched squealing sound for about 2 minutes. Of course, my warranty expired at the 2 year anniversary date. The squealing time lasts now for 8 to 12 minutes and it's accompanied with extremely loud popping noises until it eventually comes on. I do not recommend this tv. I would never waste my money on another Polaroid item.

My boss gave me this tv cause it stopped working right after a year.I have not called tech support cause i know they will just give me #'s to call for repair. I turn it on and get a blue screen about 20 seconds later. I'm not sure what would cause this but has anyone else had this problem and knew what the fix was? thanks for any info

This tv is terrible i have had it two years and its started making a buzzing sound, wont turn on sometimes but the blue light does, researched online and so many people are having the same problem, not worth fixing i am told

1 year old and capacitor issues on the power supply. Unit is inoperable. Searched the net and over 100 people that everyone is having the same problem. The sound was terrible from day 1. I would never buy one again or bother to get it fixed. Polaroid service is non-existant

I purchased a polaroid FLM-373B TV 1/07/07 now 10/03/08 when i turn it on ,the blue light comes on but i get a blue screen. I called customer service and was told the TV was out of warranty but can be replaced for $345.00 dollars plus i'll have to pay for shipping(BOTH WAYS).Now i have a 1,100 dollar TV that don't work.

I DONT KNOW I BOUGHT THIS TV LONG TIME AGO, LIKE A YEAR AND I DONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS, I HAD ALL KIND OF BRANDS AND LAST ME LONG, CAUSE "I TAKE CARE OF THINGS AND NOT MESS AROUND WITH THEM" BESIDES THIS TV IS GREAT I PAY FOR WHAT I GOT AND PEOPLE "STOP COMPLAINING" IF YOU WANT SOMETHING TO LAST YOU FOR SO LONG BUY A SONY OR SOMETHING ELSE AND MAYBE THE REASON THIS PEOPLE HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THEM IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO LIFE THAN JUST WATCH TO MUCH TV OR THEY PLAY TO MUCH PRESSING THE BUTTONS IN THE CONTROL REMOTE LOL..... QUE HUEVONES!!!!

less than 1 year old - loud shrill noise when it's on - terrible sound quality. Not the picture quality is going bad quickly. I won't buy Polaroid again.

This product is absolute junk!!!!! I spent a lot of money on the first set I bought and had to bring it back to the store because after two days the tv made a horrendous screaming sound. I stupidly exhanged it for another exact model the 373-B and what do you know a year later more problems with sound. Polaroid will not stand behind its product either because the 12 month warranty is up. I would never buy another Polaroid product again.

I've owned this TV for about 18 months. I like the image quality but the sound quality is below average. I don't recommend buying one because this TV has a very a common reliability problem that usually occurs a few month after the 12 month warranty is up. At 17 months my TV refused to turn on. I contacted Polaroid and they said they did not do out of warranty repairs. After some research I found a web site that gave detailed instructions on how to repair this problem. I followed these relatively simple instructions and my TV is now working again. I'd list the URL here but this site won't let me. After one year the thing is a BIG PAPER weight. You can't turn the thing on unless you kill the power about twenty times, and it may come on. You can't use the remote to turn it on or off. Then when you get it to come on it take (10) ten minutes for the picture to start out. Then you have a ghost on the lower right hand side. I have had a Magnavox for over twenty years and the only thing that has happened is a fuse blew out from lighting. Polaroid will not do anything to fix it. I am sorry this is only a year of use and the thing is messed up. They should stand behind this better than they do. This is not a cheep TV. I was pleased with it till a few weeks ago. A year old TV should not be screwing up, if it was 15 or so years that is one thing. Maybe if we all get together and sue them maybe they will get the thing fixed at their express. Or give us our money back. Anyone know a good lawyer that want stick us ? All I want is either have it fixed or my money back.

this tv sucks balls it only worked for a couple months and now we have nothing to watch we spent all our money on this piece of poop now im ready to kick someones butt i want a new tv and i want it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with the other reviews, turn and run! This is a piece of junk. Picture quality is poor, sound is horrible. Has to "warm up" and there is a buzzing sound when it finally does come on.

DO NOT BY POLAROID TV SETS THEY ARE JUNK. I HAVE A FLM-373B AND IT IS JUNK .WILL NOT YURN ON OR OFF UNLESS YOU UNPLUG IT. IT IS I YEAR OLD TODAY.I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO IS MAKING THEM,I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THEM TO. GOOD LUCK FOLKS. READ OTHER WEB SITE REVIEWS.

Turn and run! Not only did the unit die after 4 weeks, but I have had to wait for 10 months for a resolution from Polaroid. AND STILL NOT RESOLVED! "They are on backorder. Call back in 2 weeks." How many times in a row can a person hear this?

I bought this TV from Cosco on Aug 06. I used it for a year in my classroom for video/computer, etc. After 1 year and 2 months, it gave me this light blue screen with chinese letters. I tried everything: reset (by holding down power button), unplug, new plug,etc. Finally I just took it back to Costco. Up until now, the TV was a good buy but now I realize the chinese connection failed and the TV went on the blink. Is there any way to rely on these products?

Although I have not had mine for long (3 weeks) I have had no problems and am very happy with this unit. The picture is very clear and the features are easy to use. The speakers are not very good, but I run the sound through my JVC surround sound, so it is not an issue with me. Also at 60 pounds it was easy to get up the spiral stairs.

Absolute rubbish!!! 2 weeks in home and 3 major problems. No sound occasionally, the info banner does not go away after channel change, and Dead pixel line very center, top to bottom.
Recomendation: DO NOT BUY A POLAROID, they are cheap for a reason.
