Reviewed by Ney Mel on 12-10-2004 Hey y'all! I am Ney. I work at an electronics store in middle Tennessee.
I have seen many of the flat panels out in the market from Toshiba to Sharp's Aqous series. and after seeing just about all of the big names and thinking I have decided on getting a samsung that supports RGB PC input we got the new LGs in the store I was blown away. The quality of the picture was very rich and had the deepest black of all te other LCD flat panels we had on our showroom floor. I checked many of the connections and to my surprise the LG was hooked up via composite video and the Samsung we had on stock was running off a component video direct feed. after seeing this I knew I had to have one. its awesome, not only for TV but as a PC monitor... it's PIP/POP function is great. their PIP/POP function has many different settings on it which made using windows (while i POP'd another source) really convenient because of the adjustable screen sizes on it's POP. everything about it is awesome - from its sleek base to its great HD picture... I was surprised how much detail they were able to cram in a little ole 17". its a great buy for anyone looking for a high-end PC monitor that the can use as a HD TV as well... awesome pic for all you gamers out there...
