I bought this unit to replace my 8 year old Sony surround system, which stills works great, in anticipation of a new Sony 46" LCD TV. I immediately hooked up the system to my older 32" Sony TV and love the wireless rear speaker set-up. Although you still have to run wires to a separate wireless amp, I hid the wires behind the sofa, and was amazed of the surround sound. I bought the unit direct from Sonystyle, with a 5-year warranty ($90). The subwoofer produces good bass sound and compliments the front and rear speakers well. This unit will hopefully last as long as my older surround sound system. Sony makes great products and I feel it is worth the price.
