Reviewed by Mike on 03/11/2009 I need the main unit cable for my sound space 8. Does anyone have on to sell. I believe it's an 8 or 9pin cable? Rating:
Reviewed by Dan Meinerz on 09/12/2008 I enjoyed it for three years as an office stereo. Then the CD's began to skip, replay and finally quit playing altogether. New CD's, mp3 CD's everything was rejected. The manual says not to use a CD cleaner. I didn't. But when I called for service - there are very few and distant locations from Colorado and they want EVERYTHING (not just the CD/Tuner mechanism)packaged up to counter the worst handling by USPS or UPS and we know what those gorillas do. The diagnosis cost is prohibitive, even when applied to the repairs which is totally and open ended blank check - if you decide that you want your $900.00 system back. Judging by the other reviews heating is a problem - but mine refused CD's after being shut down all weekend at the office. I've paid $300 per year for the great sound that I have enjoyed. Rating:

Reviewed by Former Nakamichi Fan on 12-30-2007 As another reviewer said, the stereo is very good for an apartment. The sound is incredible for a shelf system. The CD changer, however, is useless as I also am having problems with the unit overheating after about 2 CDs play. After this, the stereo ejects the CD and refuses to play another one without cooling down. So if you're never going to play more than an hour of music, by all means, by this stereo. Otherwise, avoid. Reviewed by Nakamichi Fan on 03-31-2007 This is a good unit if you live in an apartment or condo. The sound will definitely fill your place. The loading system for the CDs is like that of a car stereo that handles multiple CDs so you have to fee the CDs in one at a time while the system is not playing and pull them out the same way. This is not a problem if you're used to that. The only problem that I have had is frequent overheating. After about an hour of playing CDs, the unit heats up, spits out the CD, and won't play anymore until it's shut off for a while to cool down. I thought the cooling fan on a unit this expensive would be adequate, but it's not. I even set up my own fan behind the unit to get more ventilation, but it's not enough. That's the only disappointing part of an otherwise good stereo. Rating:
