As with other Denon AVR models, the AVR-488 features full 32 bit DSP surround decoding, and includes Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1 and DTS Neo6 surround sound functions. The unit also supports network digital media connectivity as well as iPod music, photo and video playback functions via optional adapters. The matching SYS-57HT 5.1 loudspeaker system includes compact two-way front, center and surround speakers, with identical drivers for optimum tonal balance throughout the listening area.
