Product Rating
Get the Hi-Fi features you want, but in a small package. The MHC-GX450 includes a 3 Disc CD Changer, CD-R/CD-RW and MP3 playback capability, 2 Way Main Speakers with Hybrid Dual 5" Woofer, Game Sync™ Mixing, dual cassette decks, and 30 station presets. Game Sync™ Mixing lets you control the volume of your music and game sounds, so you can get just the right mix. The CD-R/CD-RW3 and MP3 playback4 capability makes it possible to play your burned CDs and personal compilations, while the dual cassette decks add even more flexibility. And, the MHC-GX470 may be a Mini Hi-Fi system, but it still has 400 Watts of total power, with a 150 Watt Subwoofer.
Features of the Sony MHC-GX470 include:
- 400 Watts Total: 125 Watts per Channel x2 (FTC 10% THD, 120 - 10kHz)
- 2 Way Main Speakers with Hybrid Dual 5" Woofer : A two driver design helps ensure audio accuracy by providing a greater frequency range. The speaker's crossover splits the frequency band into two ranges: bass frequencies to the woofer, treble frequencies go to the tweeter.
- 3 Disc CD Changer with Play Exchange: allows user to change 2 CDs while playing the third.
- CD-R/CD-RW with MP3 Playback Capability: Plays back MP3 files recorded onto CD-R/RW discs.
- PC/Audio In for Digital Music Players or PC Input: An exciting new feature that takes music playback beyond tape and CD. It allows simple plug-and-play integration with a digital music device or PC via a 2.5mm jack.
- Full Logic Dual Cassette Decks: Often referred to as a "soft-touch" design, a full-logic transport's controls require less effort to use than older style mechanical transports.
- Game SyncŪ Mixing with Front A/V Inputs for Video Games: Mix game audio with a CD, tape, or tuner. 3 different modes can be selected: low, medium or high. The 3 different settings allow preset levels of game sound to mix with your music.
- Groove™ Bass Enhancement: a DSP mode used to greatly enhance bass without effecting overall volume or creating any distortion.
- Color Fluorescent Display: easy to read multi color display. Shows what mode the unit is in, what is playing and what the current settings are.
- 8 Preset EQ with 3 Band Control: creates enhanced sound modes for differnt types of music, such as rock and pop.
- Synchronized CD/Cassette Dubbing: starts cassette recording when compact disc playback begins.
- Direct A/V EQ for Simplified Equalizer Operation: One Touch feature creates enhanced sound modes for different types of music, such as rock and pop.
- Variable Attentuation Control System (VACS): achieves sound reproduction with superb clarity, even at high volume levels. By eradicating sound distortion commonly experienced during high volume playback, VACS lets you enjoy your music the way it was meant to sound at any volume.
- Tuner with 20 FM and 10 AM Station Presets: Provides easy access to the most listened to radio stations
