I own a Gpx like this one. it has killer sound, but my cd player broke, the rubber bands had broke, i fixed them and it wond close. ive been using a old dvd player. the speakers sound better than my 100$ sonys. I have The Same Problem as The other guy. i set the timer around 2:00 pm and the other at 2:01. it helped with that. until next time PNUTLOVAR

My GPX Home Stereo System also automatically turns on at various times of the day. Is there some way that can be fixed?

Got the GPX Home Stereo System for quite reasonable. There are some flaws, however. The first is that some WMA cd's have trouble playing. This may be the cds, but it skips over some of the songs once in a while. All MP3 cds have worked great though, and has many of the WMA cds. It has just been a few. Also, for some reason even when the timer isn't set, the system will turn on by itself. It has happened every night in the last 3 nights around 12 am. Strange, so last night I decided to just unplug it. The sound is very good. If you want a decent player for cheap, grab this one at your local Walmart. If you want one without any hassles, or issues try a Sony.
