One Touch Recording button on Samsung DVD Recorders makes recording easier than ever. By simply pressing the button, Samsung DVD Recorder automatically searches the available recording space on the disc and starts recording the selected program. Pressing the ":Recording" button once will record up to 30 minutes and pressing twice will record up to an hour. Each time you press the button, Samsung DVD Recorder automatically records an additional 30 minute length of the selected program. The recording time on a disc is a maximum of 240 minutes depending on the recording mode. Once the recording is completed, simply press the "PLAY" button. Now the program that you just recorded will play.

Reviewed by Francisco on 07-12-2005 I would rate the unit much higher, but it has a continuing problem that has reported on other forums whereby the unit freezes when recording via the firewire DV input. Apparently it cannot handle the gaps from one session to the next and the machine requires complete reset (unplug or holding down the power for 20 seconds or so). In the end, any disc space you burned until that point is gone.
Outside of that, unit works flawlessly and seems to be tolerant of most blank media I tried. Rating:
