Actually this is a fairly good player/recorder...except for the issues.
The remote control commands prior to actually turning the unit on are sluggish. I.E. you press on and there is a delay or you have to press on a few times before it does so. There was some tinkering around I had to do to get the unit to play and eventually had to take the initial one back and get it replaced. The one I have now responds sluggishly with the remote but once you get started and recording makes good copies and has
flexibility with the recording speeds. Issue I'm having now is I can't get it to open. Now is the time I really need to do some recording and I can't get it to open to do so. I'm going to open it up myself and see if
it isn't just stuck but take away these issues and its a good, inexpensive
recorder. Get yourself some DVD+RW tapes and its better than having a vhs tape because of the record quality and versatility.
