The AD-8000 integrate a high-end DVD player and a Digital Video-Recorder (Not a DVD Burner). It quickly and easily records non-copyrighted DVDs and material from VHS players, analog TV, satellite TV, digital video cameras and still digital cameras to "CD-R and CD-RW media" on the right tray. The AD-8000 is a great tool for sharing video of visits and vacations with friends and family. Simply insert a DVD into left tray or connect a digital camera or VHS tape player to the AD-8000, then insert a CD-R or CD-RW disc into the right tray, and begin recording in real-time. The AD-8000 DVD player on the left tray is compatible with the following Digital Media as DVD, VCD, SVCD, CD, Audio CD, MP3 and CD-R formats. The AD-8000 includes important features such as Dolby 5.1 audio output, Dolby Digital AC-3 decoder and DTS digital audio output. The unit includes 4:3/16:9 display conversion, as well as parental lock settings. AV and S-video inputs are conveniently located on both the front and rear panels, making it easy to connect other sources. The AD-8000 can also record both NTSC and PAL formats for worldwide compatibility.

Good machine. DVD recordings are better than I thought. I am very pleased with this purchase.
