Almost hate to review. Bought mine over a year ago and have had no problems. The price was the #1 reason and the fact it was a combo. I feel that I got my monies worth and more. By the way this is the first review I have ever written. Just happenned to be looking for wireless hts and ran across this site. I have recommended it to others and no negitive feed-back from them either.

Totally agree with others. You get what you pay for. Bought this for cheap, got cheap, plays cheap. First the famous no disc, then 3 mos later I go to use the VCR and it ATE MY TAPE. I had to go to video repair lab and have them put the tape back together because it was a family video. Wound up osting me more than if I bought a good quality player to start with. Totally dissappointed in Polaroid.

I bought one from Best Buy about a year ago and I immediately had to exchange that one because it was not working. A year later this other one has started eating tapes. Avoid this product.

I received a Polaroid DVD/VCR Player for Christmas 2003 and have had no problems with either the VCR or the DVD components. The picture is sharp and the sound is excellent. I would recommend it to anyone.

I purchased the Polaroid DVC-2000 from BestBuy in April because I wanted a DVD player. When I finally tried the VHS player out 3 months later, it was not functioning. There was no doubt that it was a factory defect, but there was only a 90 day warranty on the unit and BestBuy refused to do anything with it. They also said they no longer carry the unit. The Polaroid DVC-2000 is a true piece of junk which will undoubtedly scar Polaroid's good reputation. I will probably never buy another Polaroid electronic product again. Shame on me for not checking out the vcr sooner!

I got a Polaroid DVD VCR Combo for Christmas and I love it. The picture quality is amazing, especially the recording. The DVD player is very clear with great sound. I will definitely buy another Polaroid product in the future.

This is perhaps the worst video recorder that I have ever purchased. The DVD player work fine and the VCR plays back tapes with acceptable quality. However, the recording feature of the VCR is horrible! The picture is extremely grainy and streaky. I thought perhaps the problem was with my tape quality so I switched to a premium brand. No change in quality. I also thought that perhaps the input cable was defective. I replaced the Polaroid with a $29 dollar generic VCR and taped a perfect picture. Finally, I took the Polaroid back to the store and switched it thinking perhaps the problem was just with that specific unit. The second unit gave the same horrible picture (as did the third when I again returned the unit!) Polaroid's tech manual states that if the recorded picture is bad, then the VCR should be moved away from other electronic units and the TV. Polaroid recommends at least 2 feet away. Do you really want your DVD/VCR that far away from everything? Just for the attempt, I did move the Polaroid unit several feet away and noticed no change in picture quality. I bought this unit because it was cheaper than other DVD/VCR units. I obviously got what I paid for though! Thanks Polaroid for delivering such an inferior product and taking my hard earned money...... Lesson learned however and good luck trying to ever get me to buy another Polaroid product!!!
