Reviewed by rm125 on 05-19-2005 This unit doesn't have a normal RF coaxial input and output like you'd expect a DVD player to have. If you've got an older TV which doesn't have a lot of choices for inputs, you may have to run it through a VCR or other device in order for it to be useable. That's really a pain.
The other pitfall is that it's not "progressive scan". Some of my DVD's will play but the video lags the audio for a few moments. That occurs about once each minute. I assume that a progressive scan player wouldn't give me that problem. Rating:
Reviewed by Anonymous on 11-23-2004 I bought it so I could use it as a karaoke player but since it reads a karaoke disc in its CD mode I could not remove the display which reads the track number and time. It blocks out some of the karaoke graphics, i.e., the words. Daewoo should let the consumer choose between leaving the display on or off when in CD mode. If you just want to play DVD it's Ok, but if you want to read the words on a karaoke CD-G disc it's really not a good choice. Rating:
