Reviewed by Jewell on 02-13-2005 This woofer sounds very good in a sealed encloser. I made the box at 1.65 cubic ft. I'm running about 300 watts to each coil. The bass is pretty tight and can go low. I'm also running a Phoenix Gold Bass Cube on it with a sub-sonic filter, and a 1.2 farad cap. The instructions with this woofer are poor. The woofer itself is made very well. I'm very shocked about that, for a woofer I paid 80 bucks for online. When I opened the box it came in, I thought (WOW) what a pretty sub this is. I bet this thing sounds like crap. I was wrong, it sounds great, looks great. Volfenhag gives no basket displacement for this woofer, my encloser was built at 1.65 gross volume and polyfill was added. Do not go over 300 watts RMS on each coil, or you'll have a 80 dollar ash tray. I suggest a sealed box for this sub. This sub sounded very good with rock, and great with rap. If you stay in the limits with this sub (200 to 300 watts rms on each coil, sealed box 1.65 to 1.90 cuft and maybe a sub-sonic filter) Then you'll be happy with it. Rating:
