Sony CDX-CA700X
Product Rating
The handsome Xplod CDX-CA700X CD receiver delivers big power with Sony's muscular built-in amp (23.2 watts RMS/52 peak x 4 channels). And, to harness this power, EQ7 offers 7 EQ presets and 7 bands of equalization so you can compensate for your vehicle's acoustic deficiencies. The Dynamic Soundstage Organizer (DSO) works its magic on door- or kickpanel-mounted speakers by bringing the soundstage up to dash level. The CDX-CA700X has a wireless remote with expanded functions: you change the radio stations with its numeric keypad (there are no preset buttons on the receiver). For the ultimate in clarity and power, you can connect outboard amps to the front and rear preamp outputs. A CD or MD changer adds convenience by eliminating manual disc-changing. And, with XM Satellite Radio controls, you'll be able to add Sony's outboard XM tuner (available soon) and subscribe to 100 channels of digital entertainment!

Reviewed by J. Man on 05-04-2004 One of the greatest decks I ever had, just as good as my Pioneers. Would recommend it to anyone. Hardly ever skips, unless it's a very hard bump. Rating:
