Blaupunkt Sacramento CD33
Product Rating
The sharp-looking, fold-down faceplate on Blaupunkt's Sacramento CD33 detaches to protect this high-performance CD receiver. The simple control panel, decked out with red and blue button lighting and a multicolor display, adds a colorful touch of style to your dash. The Sacramento's high power (25 watts RMS/55 peak x 4) will make your CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs sound their best. Blaupunkt's best analog tuner provides clean AM/FM reception. Six preset EQ curves let you shape the tone quickly, while X-Bass offers 4 levels of bass enhancement. Source tone memory stores different bass and treble levels for CD or radio, so you don't suffer through irritating level changes when switching modes. Your options for system expansion are wide open. Connect an optional Blaupunkt CD changer for long-playing, multi-disc entertainment. Or use the optional auxiliary input to plug in your portable MP3 player, plug-and-play satellite radio system, or any outboard audio source. The preamp outputs supply signal to a powered subwoofer so you can add some thunder to the bottom end. The optional remote control lets you keep your eyes on the road while operating your radio.

Reviewed by Ravenwolfvoyager on 09-22-2004 I appreciate the power that the Sacramento juices out. It compliments my system well and gives a clear and defining audio fidelity through my pioneer 5 ways and my pyle 1000 watt subwoofers. The only problem I had and I noted this from another respondent on another website was a problem with the faceplate going out. There seems to be maybe some sort of pin problem with the faceplate, sometimes it works great and other times you have to manipulkate the faceplate in order for it to light again. This is a major hassel, but when it does light up, its an awesome view with the blues, reds and whites. If it weren't for the faceplate issue I would have given it 5 stars. Rating:
