just got this unit today(had to replace my pioneer unit bc somebody apperently loved it more than i)love the aestethics of it.fairly easy to use once u get the hang of it.numerous features(too many to list)alpine might have a customer for life

Bought this unit yesterday. Installed it myself. Replaced my Kenwood 528 I had received for X-mas (sorry wife!) The Kenwood kept overheating!!! First impression of the Alpine: quality craftsmanship. The volume knob feels just right. The finish on the unit is beautiful. There are so many sound adjustments on this, it's great for a picky audiofile like me. I played with it for about 30 minutes last night, and was able to fine tune the sound perfectly for my tastes. It is a bit complicated, so be patient if your new to aftermarkets players. If you are like me, and have had numerous system over the years, you'll get the hang of it very quickly. I only gave it 4 instead of 5 beacause I just got it. I'll send another review in a month or so .
