About 14 months back i bought a sony trv 480 camcorder when i was on a trip to usa through dbuys.com. everything was fine till a couple of days back. i had put my camcorder for charging and the next day when i switched it on for recording, the screen showed some haphazardous picture. i tried my best and went through all the manuals but to no anvil.i gave up and took it to an authorised sony dealer and guess what? he told that these sony camcorders have an inherent problem of ccd failure in high humid areas (like coastal areas) and i have to shell out about $140 or so for repair. i.e., about a quarter of the original cost of the product. so i've learnt a lesson. will i again buy a sony product? a biiiiiigggggg NO.
