i have had this camera for about 2.5 years. it has worked fine as far as recording but i just recently tried to connect it to my dell PC to capture video off of it so i can make a dvd but it isnt compatible with any movie making programs. i have tried windows movie maker, roxio MyDVDLE, videostudio 7 SE basis to name a few and they were unable to capture video from this JVC camera. if you are planning edit you home videos on you PC i would STRONGLY NOT RECOMMEND THE JVC GR-D72U. it has been very disappointing.

I have had this camcorder for about 2 years now. It has gone into safe mode twice with the same code. I have put more money into it then the actual cost. It is currently not running right now, It would cost me to much to get it repaired. I did enjoy it while it lasted, it just didn't last as long as I thought it should have.
