I bought this receiver to replace a higher end technics. As soon as I powerd it up I could hear the difference in quality. The sound quality of this unit resembles that of $1000+ amp and preamp set ups. I also own an Onkyo and love it. But the Marantz is on a whole another level of sound quality.
